The Wolfe Island Community Garden aims to become a space to engage the community and to develop the relationship between personal, community and environmental health.

 

The project aims to promote healthy eating, gardening skill development, physical activity, intergenerational knowledge exchange, youth engagement, creative expression, cultural integration and cooperation between several local organizations/groups.
 


The Wolfe Island Community Garden will aim to be:

 

• a flexible, multi-purpose and sustainable outdoor resource for community use
• a welcoming space for all ages, including youth, to exchange knowledge/experience and to develop skills related to gardening and healthy, active living
• a central space that encourages connection and collaboration between many residents and community groups/organizations
• a place for residents to engage with the natural environment
